Sorry to hear that. There is nothing worse than getting a cold or the flu at this time of the year. Hope you feel better soon.

I love these theories, wish they worked. I'm not one of these people who can 'trick' myself into anything ;). Saying that, I have eaten less this week and drunk more water and have gone nowhere near any scales.

I'm getting so fat! I think I've put on about 20kg in the last year - not doing anything I haven't always done. Times for a new regime I think - changing ways for changing times! Only two years to 50 (goodness that could be another 40kg if I'm not careful), so a good time to do...

Mr Minx has been away all week with his work and I've discovered something... I can't sleep when he's not here. Work has been a nightmare this past week and without having him home to 'talk out the day' it just goes around and around in my head all night. I've got an appointment with...

Baby boy did scream his head off in the pool. Well for about a minute and then decided it was wonderful and cried when I got him out. :D Then ate a massive piece of watermelon, pate and biscuits, cheese, 2 olives, ALL his dinner, a bottle and fell asleep on my lap. I hope Lizzie isn't...

Kids coming over for bbq and a swim. My idea of a lovely evening. I'm taking the baby boy for his first swim tonight - hope he doesn't scream his head off! It's not really his first swim, he went in last summer but was only a few months old so probably doesn't remember the joys of...

There isn't much you can say Craig. She will get over it of course, but you just hate to see your kids like that. It is important for her to get her grief out, so probably best if you don't rush out for another pet just yet, let her get over this one first. I'm sure you've gone looking...

Oh Craig, what a shame. Foxes must be a problem eh? There are plenty around where I live too, though they are obviously not so 'inventive' as we had lots of guineas when the kids were little. Maybe an inside pet won't bring so many tears.:(

Don't laugh, but have you tried Tiger Balm - white one applied to your temples. I'm a fellow sufferer who also hates the tablets that work, but this helps and doesn't leave me like a zombie. Hope you feel better soon, there really is nothing worse than a migraine.

Thanks Nadia, I've got to go to the chemist tomorrow, so I'll see what they have. Eucalyptus oil brings me out in a rash unfortunately - I know that would normally work. Have you posted the chocolate yet? I'm hungry.

is shoe polish the same as Dubbin, just coloured? Please settle an argument. BTW I've needed glasses for distance since I was about 28, now I need them for reading too. I need a bigger bag as I can't get used to the graduated lenses. 20 years ago my bag was full of toy cars and rattles, now...
