Thanks for the example spludgey. We just moved to the new PPOR, so not sure about the energy usage. 5kW should be enough for us. If we can get the money back (savings) in 5-6 years, that would be sufficient.

You probably was making fun of "frugality". But actually we lived this sort of life for 2-3 months. Wife joined me for the first time while I was studying. No centerlink or such for overseas students. Used to buy 5 kg bags of rice, carrot, potato and tomatoes. And small portions of meat. Didn't...
