    Top order fail again.

Resting their bowlers. Believe it or not its hard yakka bowling. Listen to the commentary and hear the strategy.

    Top order fail again.

But they are well over 400 runs in front. It's now time to play one day cricket shots. Australia will win this test and go to Perth 2-0 and a fired up Mitchell Johnson on a bouncy WACA pitch. That prospect is simply mouth watering.

    Top order fail again.

Well, hindsight is great isnt it, but thank god The Fence was smacked over the fence by our top order in the second innings. Well done to the team for rallying around Mr Johnson and putting the dagger to the Poms ! Lets see what Adelaide brings. It's certainly brought this series...

    Top order fail again.

I thought feathers were relevant to birds, say like for instance, silvertails....not bogans. I always thought Richie Benaud was bogan...LOL:rolleyes:

    Top order fail again.

Good...thanks BV! I'm so pleased for. Mitch Johnson though, he represents the fire in the belly we need to dominate cricket again. All the great teams had most of the members with that fire. I grew up with the likes of Lillie/Thomo v Richards/Haynes etc. etc. The golden era I call...

    Top order fail again.

How would anyone like to stand at the crease facing Johnson? Not me... This is great stuff, and glad the batsmen are reading SS...:D

    Top order fail again.

BV, you love to turn things around don't you. I did acknowledge the turnaround but you focused on just one line from my post. Naughty naughty. It's the brilliant performance from Mitch Johnson that has turned this test in favour of the Aussies. Warner and Clark have simply gone out and...

    Top order fail again.

I'm not giving them the ho hum! Simply stating that the top order has underperformed consistently for a number of years. It's their job to score runs. The bowlers have been scoring the runs when it's their job to bowl. I'm totally happy for Warner and Clark, fantastic yes! But...

    Top order fail again.

Yep a nice and timely turnaround. However...who actually turned this around? My money is on Mitch Johnson. Champion Bowler come batsman.;) The 2 batters who got hundreds...well, that's their job.

    Top order fail again.

20/20 is the culprit I feel. ODI's have been around for ages now and there are the specialists in both forms. It's the batting top order that needs a rocket fired up to go in and take pride and ownership of their wicket and don't let it go so cheaply. You are right, just look at the...

    Top order fail again.

Yep, armchair comment the one about bowlers not being able to hit the ball. That's just it, our bowlers HAVE been able to get runs, just when our top order cant get them. That's what Im saying has been happening for many years now...or so it seems. It's the batters not pulling their...

    Top order fail again.

Have to agree Macca, the ex players have the best experience and still the passion. Why is it just the batsmen though, I cant recall how many times the low order has pulled Australia through but it's been plenty.

    Top order fail again.

The Gabba, 1st day of 1st Ashes Test in Australia and as usual, for the last fair few years now, the Aussie top order batsmen are failing and have to rely on the excellent depth in batting we have in the tail end. About time the top order actually do what they are supposed to do and get...
