This is a personal name project not a trust project. I have a CGT loss I'm carrying forward at the moment which I will use to offset CGT on this project when I sell one and only one. So it's all been set up with that in mind.

My bank account would like to challenge your assertion that I can wear the holding costs LOL! It will be a timing decision :) Hold all for at least 1 year then sell one when my income is low for that year. That is the current thinking. This is a CGT project as it's an investment.

Holding costs has been manageable but yes will impact the bottom line. I think I'm up to $55k of costs from mortgage, design and town planner for appeal.

The winning plan Third storey converted to loft and made smaller but ground floor made bigger it is now a 3 x 2 on the ground instead of 2 x 2 that it was.

A pretty positive mediation session today. It will go up for reconsideration either on 10th June or 24th June at Council Meeting. Normally we wouldn't be able to do it until the 9th July as we have missed all the deadlines for submissions but the Mayor has pulled strings for it to happen.
