A Two Bed Sydney Unit for $8,000?

I am looking at price finder for 2 bedroom units in Hillsdale in Sydney. The average value for the area for a two bedder is about $350K.

However, a 2 bedroom unit, 1 bath, 1 car space has sold for $8,000.

The address is 5/35 Templeman Crescent, Hillsdale.

Here is a link where I also found that it has sold for $8,000 at local sales at the bottom of the page.

Can this actually happen?

I am inclined to think that this is a typo.

Its most likely a % Transfer

Eg

400 000 property and some selling their 5 % share

Or as Shahin says a typo, which isnt uncommon on the VG/OSR database

Nathan probably purchased that for $8k and resold it for $80k within days after painting it and mowing the grass.

Could be a favorable sale. eg one family member to another.

It's listed on RPdata as $8,000. But the purchaser has the same last name as the owners they bought it from. So some internal deal. Be interesting to see their tax paperwork at the end of the year as to how they explain that.

Court order? Divorce?

Like Peter just said, it'll be a part sale that has gone through - ie. one partner paid out the other & the $8k represents the changeover - happens all the time on sale records.
