Accurate population growth?

Is there accurate way to find out what the up to date population growth is for regional towns? Just like to know what Gladstone and Chinchilla is ATM but it would handy for other destination.

There are plenty of methods available:

Purchase BIS Shrapnel reports
Review all the AUS Bureau of Stats census data
Check council's website
other paid or subscription services

Are they normally up to date figures or from the last census?

You might have to walk around each town and interview every one of the locals if you want a snapshot which is more current.

But seriously, check out the council for DAs, agents for feedback on developments in the pipeline etc.

Hahaha...... So the answer is no, there is no more accurate data then the last census..

Hi,

The best way to get up to date statistics on population growth rates is to look on the council websites. If the information is not on their websites then ring the council. They have the information so it may mean they havn't uploaded the info onto their websites recently due to other priorities etc.

They do have the information as they need to know this in order to run their expenditure programs.

Hi

You might also try the State Government, and various Government departments, eg Health, Education, Water, Transport.

You would imagine that the Departments, Health, Education would be looking for the same stats for them to plan on where to build hospitals, clinics, schools, waste disposal, water pipelines, to meet the anticipated demand (arising as a result from the population growth).
