Hi,
If I have an IP in Qld. listed for sale with an agent, can I still legally sell it to a private buyer and avoid paying agent's fees to that agent?

Amy, it will depend entirely on the selling agency agreement you have signed with the agent. An Open Listing or Sole Agency agreement is fine to not pay comm if you sell yourself. An Exclusive Agency (or even a Multi-List) agreement means you must pay comm whoever sells it.
