anyone tried aldis camera ?

I can't comment on the Aldi camera, but I do know that the Canon Powershot A430 is an awesome camera for the price. HN had then on special before Christmas for just a little over $100. It's an award winning camera and a joy to use. For my money, I wouldn't settle for a wannabe.

I got one for my wife last year. A good swap!

It was a 8MP 3X zoom. It didn't last very long though.

Does it have optical zoom or only digital zoom? There's a world of difference and if you can get optical for a few bucks more, you won't refret it.
You get what you pay for.

Replaced a Cannon Power shot with
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150 Great unit.
Pict it up $100 less than advertised.
Most items at Aldis are reduced if they don't sell within 3 weeks.
They have a 10 Meg Pix now.
