API mag available in State Library of Victoria now.....

Recently the State Library of Victoria (cnr Swanston & La Trobe) started getting the API magazine. The current edition is available in the redmond barry reading room, and quite a few back issues are in the journal section (the room off the reading room towards Russell Street).

There are a lot of mags available, about 250 of them. Smart Investor, BRW, Your Mortgage, and some share trading ones are some of the other investment related ones there.

As well as mags there are a load of investment books to read, even Trust Magic is available.

One can spend a whole day reading about investing if one wanted to. And if you get bored of the APIs, there's the newspaper reading room for past ads. Also the industry journals like the stuff from the property council or real estate institute is sometimes worth a flick through.

Over the road is RMIT with a huge selection of books on valuation.

And if you go on Sunday afternoons there's a speakers corner in front of the library where you'll hear someone pontificating about something.

Just make sure you travel light; you can't take much stuff inside and you wouldn't want to pay $1 for a locker would you if it can better be put towards some sushi rolls from one of the many places opposite
