Just wondering if any building surveyors can give me a bit of insight on this scenario.
I'm thinking of leasing a comm property and changing its business use so I can run a hostel. Main issue is that the building has 1 front exit and is a bit of an older building and it does not have a rear exit.
I have heard that it is possible to receive a dispensation but do not know much about this and how common it is.
If possible could you guys enlighten me on what scenario would it be possible to get it approved with the one exit - will I need fire sprinkler, alarm system?
OR is it impossible *
