I saw this on the Today show this morning. What a shocker!!!

I thought I heard something about her leaving her son (grandson?) to do some of it? I might have got that wrong?

It sounds like both the priest and the 80yo had zero understanding of historical or artistic values.

Surely it wasn't because they thought the 80yo had talent.

Ironically the piece probably has some value now.

After the world wide publicity, best thing she could have ever done for the painting. Original was pretty crap anyways, now it's probably worth a fortune.

It's not an unusual pose for that type of religious art. I'm not religious, but I love this style of painting.

It may have helped this painting if you were the original owner, sounds like you would have looked after it a little better

I quite like the new one myself. It has a Picasso feel about it.
