Hello everyone!

Please put in an apology for Les and I, as we will be 5hrs from Brisbane on Tuesday, at Burrum Heads. Peter Spann is good, but not so good that I can tear myself away from a week at my beachfront house to see him. Sorry Peter. :)

Any one going along may like to ask him about the very poor performance of his listed public floats. Fox Invest trading at below issue price of $1.25 (as low as .88c. on first day or so and very low volume including on the buy side. Not much interest for this one. Property Fox #1, nearly everyone who believed in his ability to revamp units, strata and on sell is regretting their investment and trying to sell. Saying the property market took a dip does not wash as firms like Macdonald Industries have been doing their scednario very successfully for 15 years in the Sydney market. Only buyer is 10c. in the dollar!!!

Nothing new to hear from this presenter, just another salesman for Mac. Bank. and a high fee charger for his products!

It's not unusual for a LIC to trade below NTA values. I can name 2 others straight off: CHO- nta $6.65-shareprice $6.40; SOE- nta $0.28-price $0.245.

As for strata titling units to onsell, they are property, not shares and are not as liquid to dispose of. Investors should have known this when they agreed to the investment. I should imagine the value will increase very nicely in time, just not immediately.

Peter invests his money in a whole range of investments, not just one type and I get the feeling that he is very conservative compared to others.

Thanks for the support Brenda but pmcintosh takes every opportunity he can to take a swipe at me - publicly and privately.
I have responded to their concerns but the criticism keeps coming so I have a thick skin.
But for the record…
We are VERY happy with the performance of Fox Invest – the NTA is $1.29 so as I said to them privately if a shareholder chooses to accept a ridiculous price for their shares there is not much I can do about that – there have been plenty of trades above $1.20.
As for Property Fox #1 – you are right Brenda – it has a nice underlying portfolio of property that will grow (like all property) eventually. We are hamstrung by lack of available cash.
But again, the majority of the 300 shareholders understand that – to our knowledge there are less then 20 people currently wanting to sell their shares.
And as for the MacBank stuff – yes I happily sell their products (along with 30 other Manager’s products) – in the Structured Product space – which our clients LOVE by the way, they are the best in the game. If anybody else produces a product that stacks up then we will enthusiastically welcome that too.
While not all of our recommendations have performed to expectation the average performance of all portfolios has been over 26% PA for the last 3 years which we (and the majority of our 12,000 clients) are very happy with.

Hi Peter what is going to be the general topic for the evening apart from the obvious "investing" I would like to a little of what to expect, I have not been to any of these events.
