buyers agent registration fee deductible?

I engaged a buyers agent last tax year and was going to make a purchase, but circumstances changed and I decided not to pursue a purchase this time around. There was a registration fee I paid that doesn't seem to fit anywhere.

I don't think it is tax deductible because no income was derived from it, and ordinarily if a purchase was made it should form part of the cost base of a property. Given that I didn't make a purchase this time around, what should/can i do with this expense?

At the mean time I am tending towards doing nothing because I can't find where it should go. But happy to be proven wrong

Buyers agent fees are generally not deductible until the property is sold. In your case there is no property so I would say it would unlikely be deductible at all.
