Buyers rights on vendor delay

I recently settled a property that settlement was delayed by 10week's!!!!

Settlement can get delayed for a number of reasons, most often because of the banks. It can be inconvenient and stressful but remember the big picture - you are going to own a property for a long time, spend money on it, receive capital gains from it etc etc and in 10 yrs u will forget what day settlement was.

Have your solicitor talk to vendors solicitor to see that as they have delayed the settlement until Tuesday, can they see their way in pushing back two days to Thursday.
