Does anybody else get frustrated with fishing license renewal. In Victoria you can buy your fishing license at bait and tackle shops or even online. Trouble is that nobody sends you a renewal and it's up to self to make sure license is in date. Every other license or registration you get a reminder for. When you get your license it's on a bit of paper that doesn't last very long in your wallet. One of our local shops gave you the option of paying $1 extra to have the license laminated.
My idea is for a nation-wide fishing club to voluntarily administer fishing licenses. You would still be able to buy your license conventionally, however by buying throught he club you would be posted or emailed a reminder to renew your license. The club could add maybe a $5 fee to cover admin and license lamination. Or charge more and that gives membership to their club, newsletters etc.
