hi SS!
Our DA for the granny flat is about to be finalised in week's time. Assuming it's approved, we have to apply for a Construction Certificate.
Is there any difference appointing the council as the Principal Certifying Authority vs getting a Private Certifier? Cost wise, smoothness of working wise, etc.?
When do we apply for Occupation Certificate? After the build and getting signed off by the PCA / PC?
What's owner builder? I saw an online course for $200. Does that give us the right to carry out reno ourselves (apart from plumber and electrician)?
Thanks heaps!
