CGT exception

Hi

I am finally ready to moveout of my PPOR after living 7 yrs in it. i am planning to move back in about 5 years time.

I would like to know what i need to keep for records purposes? any experienced chap can suggest me?

I would definitely return to leverage CGT exception but just dont wanna leave any holes while i leave my place.
 
I assume you lived in this property from Day 1 that you purchased it (and did not let it out for a time?)

The 6 year rule should cover your upcoming absence. Just note the date you vacate and the date you move back in and re-establish it as your PPOR. Get receipts for utility bills and get yourself back on the electoral role when you move back.

Make sure you do not claim another PPOR somewhere else during this upcoming absence.
