I am interested in peoples views on a frustrating situation i have with one of my properties. Feel free to PM me also. Here are is a 'bare bones' summary.
- 5 year old unit is untenantable due to common property defects.
- Defects were apparent 4 months ago, tenant vacated due to defect 1.5 months ago.
- Owners corporation are pursuing through orginal builder and home owners warranty insurance with little result to date.
- Owners corporation are worried that there may be other similar defects in development. They are aslo pursue builder and HOW insurer regarding some other defects.
- As a rough guide defects causing the unit to be untenantable could cost around $10-25k to fix and could take around 1-2 weeks.
