costco any melbournites checked it out?

Does SS breed the ultimate tightwads, or is the cost of living increases making us evermore aware of our expenditure and waste?
As a group we (on SS) are a lot more conscious of money wasting when related to creating wealth and the possibility of staying poor.

I don't think of us as tight; I think of us as smart.

Let's face it; the masses are broke, and despite the crowings of buying bargains and so forth, the majority of folk are really still voracious consumers with no real plan to create their own wealth outside pathetic super funds.

Hell; the latest sales figures came in on the news today saying there was an increase of 1.3% despite all the gloom and doom across the planet, the business climate of slashing jobs left right and centre, businesses closing down and so on. What does that tell ya about the average punters' view on planning? Let's get another dose of retail therapy!!

They spend too much on their cars, their house, the holiday, their clothes and so on.

We (here on SS) all have a plan - many with a loose plan - but still a plan, and part of that is to create more investment dollars from the normal income...to buy more assets.

Most folk are simply saving (if they even do that) for the next doodad.

So we look for ways to spend less unnecessarily, so that we can create more for other things.
