Depreciation Schedule - PPOR to IP

Hi,

Just wondering if it's possible to get a depreciation schedule commencing from when a PPOR became an IP.

When I enquired with the depreciation peoples they said the depreciation would commence from when the property was purchased. But that would mean the amount claimable for the period as a PPOR goes to waste, particularly if diminishing value is used.

The viability of doing it depends in part on the age of the property and the length of time you have owned it.

Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes it isn't.
