Speaking only of Brisbane City Council I know that it doesn't have to be. I've seen a reasonably standard post war house classified as a 60m2 granny flat while the council allowed a huge house to be built up to boundaries behind the 'granny flat' on a 607m block in a single unit dwelling zoning in Brisbane.
Hi,
Does a granny flat have to be at back of the main house ?
What the main house has a very long setback, can a granny flat be build at front ?
Any one have experience putting a granny flat at front of the main house ??
Thank you
