Maybe Microsoft inverted the flaw to push firms to upgrade from the unsupported XP ?

I went back to IE for a while after using Firefox for years but Firefox went downhill badly.
IE is pretty good (second choice) but now use Chrome.

I don't use IE myself either but according to the article there are many who still use it.

The bug applies to all IE on all Windows OS not just XP.

I recall SIM saying that Chrome is now the most popular on SS

But the big difference is XP is not supported anymore so the bug won't be fixed, but it will be fixed quickly on later OS.

I also agree that I haven't used Internet Explorer for many years. Chrome is the way to go!

That's kinda funny and sad at the same time.

Chrome overtook IE in May 2013 in Hong Kong. Now in April 2014, Chrome has 40% share and IE has 30%. In Singapore it happened sooner and Chrome overtook IE in Oct 2012. Today in Singapore Chrome has 43% vs IE 20%. In Japan IE still dominates with 48% vs Chrome 24%.

My stepdad still uses Hotmail.

Hotmail is great if you have exactly your own name, which I have since I joined hotmail in 1996 when they first started before Microsoft bought them. Their spam filters are much better now, hardly any reaches my inbox.
