What's the difference between being a business owner and being self-employed?

Generally a business will keep running if the owner walks away from it, whereas self employed means you are the machine behind it all.

Self employed is similar to a job except you work more hours & without paid annual leave, sick leave and long service leave entitlements.

Still selling/trading their time - you stop, so does your income

Ahhh, then I am somewhere in the transition between being self employed and being a business owner. Down to 3 days a week while we keep training others to take over. Onward and upward....
