financial planner in Perth

Hello
Can anyone tell me from experience of a reputable financial planner in Perth. Preferably specialising in property but well rounded in other classes as well

Cheers:confused:

sorry can't help you, but I think it's commonly agreed that a financial planner is really a mutual fund/financial product salesman, so are you sure that's what you want?

Well....hmmm no I am not sure now. But certainly need some guidance/mentorship when it comes to a fluctuating climate. If I have to read another book on property I will explode.

I guess I need a balance between good advice and a decision making tool of my own based purely on the math. This forum helps but there are many opinions and obviously cannot be tailored to my own tolerance to risk and needs.

I certainly dont need a salesman as I would like to make the end decision based upon the facts.

Thanks Mike:)

Mike Im also in Perth and have been investing directly in property (very successfully) for quite a few years.

What are you ultimately trying to achieve from using property as your wealth vehicle and what time line are you wanting to achieve it in?

Ultimately I want to live in a home unencumbered by a mortgage and retain an income sufficient to pay for basic consumption (not yachts, cars, holidays etc..).

I picture myself in 25 years running my own permaculture garden to reduce living costs and somehow developing a model for the lower income earners and give something back to the community. I can only do this with spare time and no debt.

I guess the process would start out by achieving a level of wealth that could be liquidated into an annuity whereby I live on the interest without eating into the capital (of course inflation would erode this)

I am happy in my job and dont have any wild fantasies about being rich. Just enough so that I will have the choice to work or not and enjoy life, my children etc... that'll do.;)
