First Time PM

I am taking over as PM of one of my IP's.

Can someone please advise me if I need to provide the tenant with my address details, or is it sufficient for them to have my telephone details and for me to arrange to pick up any paperwork that they need to send to me?

Regards

Andrew

They need to have either your address details if you are managing it privately or C/O your property manager.

You may need to do something about the bond. If you are picking up management from an existing property manager, you may need to arrange for the bond to be in your name. Otherwise you may, at the end of the existing tanancy, have to go back crawling to the existing PM and ask them to release the bond to your tenant :D

If you really don't want your tenants to know where you live, why not rent a post office box. You will have to clear it occasionally though.

Check with your local tenancy authority about your rights and obligations regarding putting your address on the lease document.
