GAME/QUIZ: Petals Around the Rose

I found this.

There are three rules: The name of the game is Petals Around the Rose, and that name is significant. Newcomers to the game can be told that much. They can also be told that every answer is zero or an even number. They can also be told the answer for every throw of the dice that are used in the game. And that's all the information they get.

The person who has the dice and knows the game, rolls five dice and remarks almost instantly on the answer.

Don't reveal the answer in this thread...

I'll post it for those who haven't figured it out...

PS - A story about it and bill gates is here

PM's have fallen off, so here's the answer.

You count the number of dots around the edge - if the side comes up has a dot in the middle (ie. an uneven number)

1 = 0
2 = 0
3 = 2
4 = 0
5 = 4
6 = 0

See, it's the number of petals around the rose.

The game's also called stars around the moon for the same reason.

Hope you got it :)
