How do you calculate the number of days between two dates?

Hiya spreadsheet gurus,

I have a Rent period, let's say:

Start of period - 01.Mar.11 (in cell A1)
End of period - 21.Mar.11 (in cell B1)

and I want to calculate the number of days in this period, not between this period.

In this period would be 21 days,
whilst, Between this period is 20 days.

MS excel always only calculates the "Between" which is 20 wheras I need that cell to spit out 21 days.

Does anyone know how to get around it please??

...would be the easiest way around.
