How much do you save a month?

26 years old, single, living in a rental apartment, far from living a 'frugal' life, tho trying hard to increase my savings.

Average approximately $2500/m savings. I aim for $3k unfortunately I have the occasional blow out (eg. 3 wedding invites in one month) which reduces it back to $2500.

Positive geared properties are being a big help to the savings fund, the now ex-gf was not
