Identity Theft

I was thinking that obtaining a regular report of my credit rating could be useful to detect possible identity theft. Has anyone tried this service (see below)?

Apart from finding creditors or police at the door, are there any other ways to find out if someone could be using your identity?

I use their annual subscription. For $40 approx you get an email notification everytime someone does a credit enquiry.

Well worth it I think.
