There was a thread about Dubai over at Steve's site a while ago.

The general consensus was don't touch it as the oil sheiks were throwing up buildings like there was no tomorrow; trying to out-do each other I expect.

So there was apparently going to be a massive over-supply of property and not enough people to rent or buy them.

Maybe it's changed?
