Has anyone had any experience using Modwood or similar material as timber decking. FYI, Modwood is a composite material made out of timber and recycled plastic. It is supposed to resist cracking or warping and best of all does not need constant maintenance. I was put off by the thought of using natural timber after hearing the many horror stories of the maintenance that is required to keep the timber looking good.
I am looking to use this product around our pool area as I like the look and feel of timber and it should match well with the sandstone coping.
We have around 50sqm natural timber decking on front and back of the house and they are fine as it is under roof however the sun and rain seems to have an adverse on timber.
