I have no desire for financial advice from a financial advisor, but for people who do, it is fair enough that they pay. If all the advisor is doing is submitting the form then I think you are better off submitting direct to the fund.

Just for the record my FP only charged me 1% for each investment event and then zero fees once my holdings got aove 250K.

I thought it fair since at the time I knew very little. Now it is a mute point of course because no fees apply but I still get a good sounding board.

The FP survives on trailers paid by the institutions.
