NSW stamp duty exemption for first home buyers

Does someone purchasing their first home in NSW, receive any government benefits/exemptions on an existing dwelling?

The reason I ask is... When the NSW gov. introduced the $15,000 grant for new homes - and the stamp duty exemption... I'm certain I heard a guy on TV saying the stamp duty exemption applied to existing homes as well as new (for first home buyers only). But I cannot find anything about that on the NSW OSR website!?

Come to think of it, I'm not biased which state I live in. Is anyone aware of a "summary page" that shows the different first-home benefits in the different states?
