Opinions on Zeitgeist

A friend brought over a copy of Zeitgeist the other night and we watched over 2 fantastic bottles of wine (old adam shiraz and Saltram no 1) drool....anyway I digress.

Have a look at 'Zeitgeist - The Movie: Federal Reserve (Part 1 of 5)' on youtube.

Id be very curious to gain opinions of people far more learned than myself.
The section on the Christian religion specifically the origins of the 'son of god' is also fascinating.

Thanks mate good stuff.

To anyone that hasnt seen it its a fascinating film.
I personally dont believe in 99% of conspiracy theories no matter how convincing...why?? because people by nature arent great at conspiring, especially when it comes to massive secrets and involving potentially thousands of people over generations. By nature people talk or refuse to be shut up.

Also the organisational skills and foresight that some of the theories would require, I just dont buy that these people are really THAT smart. Especially considering if they fail and the truth was brought to light...they'd be lynched.

That said I watched a doco on SBS I think regarding Stanley Kubrick filming the moon landing and it had Rumsfeld, and Kubricks wife among others and God that was interesting.

I think a much better watch is Alex Jones Endgame. You can find it on youtube.

If you don't believe in thousands conspiring I suggest you start reading about the freemasons and other secret societies such as the Illuminati and the builderberg group.

Very interesting indeed

I enjoyed the bit on religion but have not bothered to cross check it because, frankly, I don't give a damn. I switched off the bit on 9/11 so have no idea what the last bit was about.

The more I think about this GFC, the more it looks like the work of the Illuminati, the only conspiracy theory I take seriously. Surely no-one could have actually thought this rubbish actually was a good idea, could they?

Sunfish - i'm with you 100% in regards to the Illuminati. the Venetian Accord took very large puts against airline companies in Aug 01, and very large puts on banks and financial institutions on Oct 07.

something isn't right. looking at the way the GFC is now falling, there's framework there. it's not visible, but it's there. like watching the twin towers collapse with controlled demolition - any fool can see the buidlings didnt just fall like pisa. money is being drawn away systematically worldwide - inflation, asset writedowns, devaluation, sharemarket....there is no where safe to park your money.

maybe some of you remember me pointing out that when one house of cards falls, and everyone moves thier money to the next house of cards, that one falls. and so on and so forth.

now, just when you think "hmmm - maybe the missus SHOULD go back to work" or "wow, i should prob get a second job" - a majority of daycare centres (ABC Leaning and everyone they were looking to buy out) are now folding.

now you can scoff all you like. no, i don't think the Illuminati were directly behind some moron CEO and his daft ideas about a sound business structure.

but....why is the general population being denied the ability to make money independant of having a job....? no matter what you do, where you turn, what you try - unless you're F__KING brilliant with options and leverage and fibonacci timing models, or can screw some poor sucker down on his house price to make a profit by developing, or are really handy with a 12 gauge, a balaclava and have completed getaway driving 101 - you're outta luck my friends.

so i'm a loony...go prove me wrong.

haha touche there hobo-jo! :D

evand - small business will suffer also. people without money to spend on their floral arrangements in the outer suburbs means many small businesses will go under....

I have a 5m turnover small business. One of my distributors rang me the other day and said "you know, I'm now convinced the government, tax department and banks have this completely rigged to stop you getting bigger". he then went on to tell me all his reasons...

If you think about it.. the governement is trying to stop you getting a bigger business. Look at the tax structure. Just one example is Payroll tax, what a joke. If you create more jobs and help the economy you have to pay tax!...It is late, no point in me getting started!. I'm off to sleep:)

Interesting ..perhaps ....

Here's a link a friend passed to me recently. You may find it interesting.

Given the crap that has descended since 9/11 and in the last year or so ... it's interesting to consider the "root cause". This gent reckons he has it, and at the very least, the article is very well written. A lot of trouble if not sincere, that's for sure.

If you find it "wordy" skip to near the end and the section " Disaster Ahead ". This was supposedly written in 1985. The author was supposedly assasinated. Pretty close to the bloody bone.

An interesting movie (and there are a few about) regarding the systemic corruption of the United States by the financial services industry and the consequences of that corruption

Could've been called "Who's the Boss"

The best bits IMO were watching the subjects get uncomfortable or ask for the filming to stop when they didn't like the line of questioning

Great post BC but there is nothing people starting a small business and making money.

Never has been and never will be.

This reply is like some football telecasts: Not in real time. :)

But anyway, It would be much harder today for people to start in business. I'm thinking of the motor trades particularly. In my day many a lad in their early 20s started in business with little more than a kit of tools, a modest amount of "specialist stuff" and a shed in the back yard. Possibly your trade is still like that but not many.

Even a Lenards franchise would require half a mil capital and a lease which will cripple you. Maybe a coffee shop in a strip mall isn't so expensive but so what?

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Personally, I blame the giant lizards.

Actually I don't. But it is no more ludicrous than most conspiracy theories.

For anyone that is interested in another point of view of what happened to the WTC towers on 9/11, you should check out Dr Judy Woods research (particularly the key evidence videos). Its a very different theory to the information provided in Zeitgeist.

See http://drjudywood.com/.
