Palm Cove

A question for FNQ members.

Thinking about heading to Palm Cove for the first 2 weeks of December, what are the humidity and rainfall generally like?

Thanks in advance.

Depends if you like 95-100% humidity? Cyclone season. Stinger season. Running between air cond building to a/c car to a/c shopping centre and being dripping in sweat from 06.00 to 23.00 each day.

If Sunfish was around he'd be able to put you in the picture.

Pretty much what Scott said. It depends what you like though as I moved here for the heat and humidity and love it.

I first moved to Cairns on 23rd Dec and a couple of weeks in wondered what this wet season business was that everyone goes on about as it didn't rain for about two weeks and then it absolutely bucketed down. Had never seen rain fall I'm such huge amounts before.

What would you be looking to do while you're up there?

Had a holiday in Cairns a few years ago - in August.

First day - perfect weather, went out to the Reef. Unreal.

Then; rained for next 10 days out of a possible 14...I'm talking deluges and improving to steady rain almost all day and all night.

Got to day 11, saw the weather report for the next week, then packed and went home early.
