I am looking at purchasing my first investment property with my parents and my brother (each of us investing one third), however my brother would also live in the property. Can anyone advise me as to how my brother then pays rent? Does he pay two-thirds of the going rental rate? Any other advice on purchasing an investment property with other parties would also be appreciated.
