I am currently looking at an older property with a HIA order on it for two patches of salt damp. The REA has said it is being treated and the certificate of this will be supplied with the home. Is there anything i need to specify within the offer to the REA to deal with this? And should this affect the purchase price? I've no experience with HIA orders so not sure what the implications will be if I purchase the property. Also, once treated is salt damp likely to be a problem again in the future?
