Qld Stamp Duty

I understand that in Vic a way of reducing stamp duty on large purchases is to split the contract. (ie: one contract for the land component and the other for the building). That way you only pay s/d on the land.

Is it possible to do something like this in Qld.

It is possible to do what you suggest in Qld. I just done excatly that and finally settled last month. The land sale was a seperate contract, to the contract with the builder.
