Re-letting fee

Are re-letting fee usually stated in the agency management agreement? Is this the same as the "tenancy agreement preparation fee"?

My property got reletted and was charged a fee for this. But can't find anywhere in the management agreement of a fee for this category. Is this by default? And how much is this usually?

It needs to be in your management agreement.

You might want to clarify with your managing agent if the lease preparation falls into renewals as well, I'd say it would.

Average cost are anywhere from $0-$100 so hard to say.

But then the lease prep fee is the what i got charge for the re-letting. Would asking the agent for charging imply a sense of mistrust? I was charged under about 30 bucks which isn't much in the bigger scheme of things. BUt i just couldn't find it in the agreement.

By the way, its re-letting to the existing tennant, not to a brand new one.

I don't think asking implies mistrust, you're just making sure what you're being charged is correct.

From what you've said it sounds correct and that you agreed to that fee.
