Recommend Lawyer in Bris (Construction Issue)

A work colleague is having major issues with the builder he employed to construct his new house. It is currently at the stage where the BSA has informed the builder to remedy at least 40 breaches of what it describes as "unsatisfactory work practices". The builder has refused and advised my colleague that any changes to the building to comply with the BSA requirements will be passed on to my colleague.

In appears that it is now time to involve a lawyer and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a lawyer, in the Brisbane area that specialises in these type of disputes. The BSA will not recommend.

Look up some QCAT decisions and see which lawyers represent the parties in building disputes and frequently win.
Ring QLS for a referral.

Sorry I just came across this.

I might have a few you could use. The one guy I have in mind is one of 3 lawyers in Qld who does this -IF I'm thinking this is his area of practice - its something around this anyway. The other one is an overpriced horrid thing as lawyers are. Great if she's on your side but if not shes a nightmare.

Can you please update and advise?

I took cu@thetop's advice and found a firm that comes up frequently in QCAT court cases. I passed their details on to my colleague who seems very happy with their services to date.
