Rejected Lease

In the lease it state's. "option to renew lease must be excised a max of 6months to a min of 3months prior to expiry of lease"

So if you had of been managing your business, and acknowledged that the Lease you hold was crucial and fundamental to your business you would have probably written a letter on the 3rd of May exercising your option and be done with it. Life can continue skipping thru the tulips.

Instead, through lack of action / management / foresight / prudency......you sat on your hands and left it until the very very last day ??

This is extremely common with folks who delegate all of their responsibility as principal to the deal to their solicitor (that's most folks).

Don't worry, you ain't special. This huge mistake you made is made all the time by lots of people not managing their business properly.

It was an over sight on our part to leave it to the last day

Indeed it was....and methinks your Lessor is going to make you pay severely for that oversight, either thru booting you out and seeking a higher paying Tenant (who they may already have lined up and signed a new Lease with).....or simply use you mistake as leverage against you to make you pay a higher rent if they grant you relief.

Either way, it's gonna cost you. Get ready for this !!

we were in the middle of a partnership agreement and until the finalisation of the lease it was noticed.

That doesn't even make English sense.....but any excuse you proffer as to why you mismanaged an absolute fundamental plank in your business carries no weight with the Lessor.

One thing we can all guarantee though, you won't make this same mistake twice.

You're in deep doo-doo. Brace yourself Nelly, this one's gonna hurt.
