The contentious Royalties for Regions scheme should be dumped, taxes reformed and shopping hours deregulated under a radical overhaul of the WA economy recommended by the state's economic regulator.

ERA chairman Lyndon Rowe said savings from just three of the reforms - taxis, potatoes and taxes - could deliver as much as $594 million per year to the state's economy..
