Selling a tenanted property

I’m wanting to sell a property that is currently tenanted till October this year. I asked an agent to do an appraisal. He left a message for the tenant to call him. That was 4 days ago and he hasn’t heard anything so he was going to try again.

The property is managed by a property manager. All they have done is give the sales agent the tenant’s details. Is this the norm? I’d originally got an appraisal done by the same agency as the PM and that was done in less than a day because they have access to the keys. It would be great if the PM could notify the tenant that we want access and give the keys to the sales agent.

Slack sales agent - any salesperson wanting your listing will be on the ball the that afternoon to send the entry notice and at the property as soon as they can with the notice.

I think another key point is it looks like your tenants aren't going to be too cooperative. I'd try selling when lease ends.
