Selling some property investment magazines

Hope its ok to post this here, but I figured it might be of some interest :)

I have 7 magazines here I'm looking to offload. They are:

Australian Property Investor Nov 2007
Australian Property Investor Oct 2007
Australian Property Investor Sept 2007
Your Investment Property Sept 2007
Your Investment Property Nov 2007
Your Mortgage Sept 2007
Financial Review Smart Investor Nov 2007

$64 worth of magazines here, will sell for $25 + postage.

Prefer to sell together but will separate if need be.

$25 bucks? Not worth the effort (for you).

Take them to the nearest High School, and donate them to the Year 8 Economics Class.

While you're there; give 'em a class in Property Investing.

You'll feel good.

i recently gave 2 years worth away to another local ss person ... i reckon just pass them on.

the "pass it forward" kind of thing, if you've finished with them. the great karma comes back to you in spades.

I tried to GIVE all my olds (BRW, FORBES, Properties..., Handyman) to a local second shop. Guess what - they are not interested? I threw them all.

hey interesting thought....

what do you think say 30 local newspaper publications, in mint condition, every edition of each publication for a decade of say 1960-1970 be worth? all in mint sealed condition, not even creased...

so im talking 30 papers x 52 weeks a year x 10 years worth from 40 years ago...

thats a lot of history....

either be sold as a whole set, or be sold individual for special evens, or broken down by publication, or even sodl off to people for date on birth, like what happened in you suburb the week/day you were born.

any ideas on price for something of this nature??

cheers guys.

As others have mentioned above, In the past I have tried to give my mags to the local library, but they are not interested. I just threw out all of those you've mentioned above yesterday!!!

Perhaps you could try ebay??

What a timely thread 'cos I've got the following I'm wanting to get rid of -

18 x Shares 1999-2000
21 x Money 2000-2002
28 x Property Investor 1999-2001

Plus 2 x Property Investor Special Editions -
Complete Guide to Investing in International Markets 2001
Complete Guide to Investing in the Technology Revolution 2001

How sad that no-one wants to benefit from these freebies. I'm sure there's still lots of good info to be gleaned from them regardless of how old they are!

I'm hoping my library is more willing to take them if I can't give them away. What a waste otherwise! :(

I actually wanted some magazines on property, developing etc and placed an add on freecycle. A lovely guy Emailed and offered me a bundle. Mostly Australian Property Investor. I have not looked at all of them yet but have gained some knowledge from the ones I have read so far.

I'd love some renovating ones.

I offered mine on freecycle but only one person enquired then rejected them when I told him how old they were!

Do you want mine as well?? Sth West Sydney in case your interested.

Olly

Thanks Olly. I appreciate the offer but my hubby would kill me if I got more.
I'm having trouble finding the time to get through the ones I've got. Too much time on here too. Every time I get on I go to links etc and keep bookmarking pages and downloading booklets etc. It's great. I wish I had discovered this forum years ago. It would have saved me some mistakes. Oh well. Im on my way now.

I think even old ones are valuable to anyone starting out. Sure they are not going to predict future outcomes (might be worth a laugh at the predictions in hindsight though:cool:

There is always valuable info that doesn't change with time.

Thanks again

I keep all mine and drag 'em out for another read once in a while.

I'm currently re-reading "Retire Young, Retire Rich" by Rob Kiyosaki.

It's great for rekindling the mindset and revving you up.
