Hi all, been thinking about asking elextricity provider to install smart meter.

This I assume would make it easier to read my electricity usage in KW vs the old dial one I have now ?

Thoughts ?

Not sure if the general view has changed , If you go solar grid have to go smart meter.
No solar try and keep your old meter as long as possible.

It depends upon when you use power - if you use the bulk of your power in peak times then you will pay through the nose, if you use off peak for clothes washer, dryer, pool filter, air cond, heating, cooking etc then your bill will drop.
