Was wondering how JS is going balancing real life vs online life.
Not as messed up as it was!
Have you been getting out in the real world and mixing it up?
90% less time on the internet now days! But that might change in the next 6 months. I've completely changed my lifestyle three times since this thread. I can walk away from the computer more often now:)...it's good.
What made you prefer online more than being with friends you had interests and history with?
I guess when you have passion for doing something and your becoming bored of people then your time goes towards what you like to do most.

"Dynamic " don't ask me about that one, I'm to dumb for that one.

Sorry ev, forgot to include links...

Examples of dynamic used as a noun are:
  • they hoped it would act as a spiritual dynamic on all churches; and
  • the main dynamic behind the revolution.

Source is also my wife who is an English teacher:D
You are right that it is much more commonly used as an adjective.
wish-ga technically should have written "I recently witnessed a dynamic..."

Note wish-ga has made an edit to her post with what she meant.

Someone please suspend my membership and take me away from this forum and help me with this addiction.

Only allow me to read now and contribute nothing written.

See you(s) around in the future when I can better control my use of time on the internet.

So long to you I am out now and into real life!

Tell me about it;
you've been a member sice '03 and only 456 posts.

Look at my stats; now THAT'S addiction!

*edit*.... 'dynamic' in this instance I meant a by-play/interaction between two parties.

Funny, me mates at the pub don't use it this way. A couple are pilots and I'm a "would love to be" so it is in our vocabulary. Another might, but he's a public servant/cartoon artist and enjoys taking the piss. :D

Ok thanks. I have never heard it used as a noun. Especially as something that can be witnessed. Sounds like a bit of a buzzword.

Thanks for getting back to me Jaffasoft. I was wondering is all.

'dynamic' ..... used it instead of talking about the specifics, he said/she said.
Dynamic, fairly standard talking about human interactions....but that isn't of interest to everyone....can't imagine why not! haha........

My edit was too brutal. Took out "dynamic between two people". Thought it was redundant. If it is a dynamic there must be at least two people. Similarly, a conversation....gotta be more than one person, right? Same with dynamic....easy peasy! :)

Anyway, back to the main point.....anyone else found they preferred online living to the real deal?.........or tried to interact with someone who says they are happier online?

Had you said a "domestic" I would have understood. But I'll let it slide now.

And yes, being on-line gives a rough filter so it must be a bit like speed dating, but I haven't been there.

Trouble is, I've got to explain to every new poster that I'm a grey headed old fart who doesn't have the luxury of "time in the market".
