Structural integrity on prospective strata purchase

Howdy all,

Inspecting an apartment this morning, I noticed a fair degree of cracking & putty within the apartment (internally not in great shape anyway, but could be fixed up with a bit of elbow grease). Some of the brick walls appeared to bow slightly in places.

Walking around the complex (2 x towers of 10 units only) there was some cracking in the brickwork & concrete parking area below.
On the apartment next the inspection, it appears the two bricks had not just cracked - but been crushed by the change in building shape, jutting out like a sideways V.

The agent advised a structural report had been completed by a prospective buyer two weeks ago & all came back fine.

Just wondering if anyone has encountered a situation like this before? Can bricks cracking be merely due to a slight shift in the ground (drying due to the drought) and the structural integrity of the block still be a ok?
