Structural renovation Advice

Ok, so I'm about to under take a structural Reno. It's my first structural Reno and I'm not sure on the process or what order to do it in.


- I know what I WANT to build, but not sure what would pass council or what things cost.

- if I organise fianc?, get plans drawn... Then take it to a builder, the plans might be to high for the budget...


Do I need to go to a construction company that has draftees and town planners in one office to make it easier? I'm sure this is not the case, but just unsure of the process. Naturally the most cost efficient way is preferred.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Why not get a builder around to give you a ballpark figure before you go to any expense getting any plans drawn. I have done that recently to see what building a townhouse would cost and also on some work to be done on two sons' house renovations.
