Sydney CBD Rents Could Explode !!

Tough thing to police.

The building our office is in has commercial tenancies for the first four floors and then residential for 20 or so floors above.

I've noticed recently notices in the lifts about the fact that bedrooms can only have two people in them.

Very hard in these big buildings to keep track of stuff like that.
 
The apartment managers already police this very strongly in my building on George St. Council bylaws already prohibit overcrowding. Strata laws won't change this.
 
I don't see the correlation. If anything, students will most likely be priced out but that's not to say they can't move to a more affordable suburb.
