tenants in our ppr

We bought another ppr and continued the existing tenants in there until we sold our existing ppr. They were there on a 6months lease and when that finished (at the date we bought the house) we told them they didnt have to sign a new lease, just let it go month to month We have now sold our home on 5 months settlement. I believe we just have to give them 2 months notice (in Vic), can anyone confirm this.

Hi Fernfurn, in VIC you're right, it is a 60 day notice to vacate for the landlord to move in to the property. I should say 60 days plus postage time as you need to send it via registered post .
